There are plenty of stupid people, stupid animals, etc and I think that casting a moral judgement on them is probably more abusive than stating a plain fact.
That said, it certainly is viewed by many people as "negative", and I'm not opposed to "replacing it", but that may require a major version bump since others may depend on the word list.
